Lenan Head Fort

An abandoned British Naval artillery fort built to protect lough Swilly in 1895 and finally abandoned in the 1950's.

Now it is a strange lonely landscape of isolated chimney stacks standing among demolished buildings and scatters of rubbish and debris.

It is a film set waiting for holywood to discover it and maybe it is best it lies undiscovered in its exposed and lonely state.
